Platinum Bank Became Partner of “22nd Publishers’ Forum”
Platinum Bank became partner of “22nd Publishers’ Forum”, which traditionally takes place in Lviv. Within the framework of the forum, the bank has conducted free-of-charge lessons in financial literacy for children and adults, and also held the “book raise” for children form sponsored orphanages. The total amount of books collected is 304.
During the “Platinum Posidelki” meetings – lessons in financial literacy from Platinum Bank – children learned the history of money, how the banks appeared, what are the peculiarities of world currencies and many other things. Adults were not neglected as well – Dmytro Krasnoshlyk, Supervisor of the Board, responsible for Operations at Platinum Bank, conducted a meeting dealing with financial literacy of grown-ups.
“For over 5 years our bank has been actively engaged in social activities. We pay a lot of attention to the issues of education for children, and within the CSR project “Clever Ukraine” we are realizing the financial literacy project “Platinum Posidelki”. Due to this project, over 35,000 children all over Ukraine have learned more about how banks function, how to spend money responsibly. In the process of our work we understood that not only children need to get this knowledge, but adults as well, so that all Ukrainians could feel more confident during these uneasy times. That’s why at the Forum we presented our financial literacy meetings both for children and adults. I’m sure, the information we shared with them will definitely be useful for them in their everyday life. I believe it’s never too late to learn something new,” - comments Dmytro Krasnoshlyk.
Besides, the bank held a “book raise” for its sponsored orphanages: anyone could buy a book at the Forum or simply bring a book from home and pass it over to the children in orphanages. As a result, the guests showed high interest in this “raise” and all gathered books will be divided between 10 orphanages.
