Platinum Bank – No.1 by Employee Involvement



According to the results of the survey, held by “Ernst & Young” in 2014, Platinum Bank showed the highest score among the participants of the personnel involvement survey. Alongside Platinum Bank, large Ukrainian companies from agro, telecommunications and retail sectors participated in the survey.

About 90% of all employees of the bank took part in the survey. The employee involvement figures showed 85%, which is a very high result (according to the methodology of Ernst & Young the employee involvement of 75% is considered to be a “good result”).

Involvement is the emotional and intellectual state which motivates the employees to work in the best possible way. The survey distinguished four major indices, on the basis of which the results were formulated: index of emotional involvement (how the involved employee feels), index of activity involvement (how the employee acts), support index (how the employer supports the involvement) and the outcome index (what the employer receives from involved employees). The sum of these indices ensured the high result.

Denis Koshchavtsev, HR Director of Platinum Bank, notes: “The survey was held in the end of 2014 – the hardest year for Ukraine in general and its banking sector in particular. This fact makes us even more proud that our employees demonstrated such unequivocal loyalty to the bank. The high level of involvement ensures positive emotional atmosphere in the team and improves the business results. According to the consulting company “TMC Artur Żurek”, only 20% of companies, which undergo the involvement survey, use its results in the actual work. Platinum Bank can be listed in these 20%, striving to maximally effectively use the data received. As a result, the bank has an improved system of interaction “manager-subordinate”, as well as elaborated and implemented new formats of communication, new trainings, motivation programmes, etc. We really want Platinum Bank to continuously remain the best place to work at.”

For example, in 2013 Platinum Bank was rated No.1 among 5 banks-participants of the survey in Ukraine. The results of this survey allow the bank to systemically improve the involvement of personnel, which ensures the achievement of better business results.
