Platinum Bank Presents its Fourth Report on Sustainable Development
Platinum Bank presented its next in line, already fourth, report on sustainable development. “Platinum Bank: Focus on the Client” – it’s the bank’s report on its activities in 2013.
Remaining true to the tradition of the non-standard approach to the report, this time the bank chose a format of “Question-Answer”, in which all questions are the actual questions its clients ask, and the bank provides answers to these questions. This format allows looking at the bank through the eyes of the clients and understanding what really worries the society.
Due to the fact that the questions touch upon all of the spheres of Platinum Bank’s activities, the reader can see a full picture of bank’s development in 2013, as well as get acquainted with the business plans of the bank and its ambitious plans in CSR for 2014.
“In our opinion, CSR in the company starts from the involvement of its employees, top managers and stretches all the way to the involvement of clients, citizens of Ukraine. The involvement of clients is the most important and labour-intensive stage. We understand that it’s a long-term process, but we believe that we’ll succeed. And in future, together with its clients, Platinum Bank plans to elaborate and implement new projects aimed at the development of Ukraine. Our new level of CSR is the investment into the development of our country, involvement of clients into our social and eco-focused projects, starting from the new products and all the way to the targeted aid. We are confident that our joined efforts will result in positive changes for the country, where 2 million of our clients live. We are eager to work for the better Ukraine,” - says Kateryna Rozhkova, acting Chairwoman of the Board of Platinum Bank.
The report highlights different initiatives and projects of the bank both for its clients and its employees. It also describes the achievements and plans for further development. Its simple and comprehensive way of presenting information helps to better understand the inner corporate culture, values, by which the bank’s employees live.
“Before the preparation of this report we conducted a survey among our clients and employees – we wanted to understand what interests the clients and the society. And, having obtained the answers, we naturally came to the form and style of the new report. Each chapter has the answers to the numerous questions of bank’s clients and stakeholders, taking into consideration their interests and wishes. We tried to maximally explicitly and openly show how we work and what we live for. I hope that our readers will find it interesting to learn about our initiatives, and maybe even join us in our future projects on the country development,” - says Viktoriya Mykhno, Head of the CSR Committee, Head of PR of Platinum Bank.
The consultant’s role, during the preparation of the sustainable report, was undertaken by the “CSR Development” Centre in Ukraine.
“In this non-financial report I wouldn’t look for isolated indicators or strict adherence to the reporting standards – although Platinum Bank used the elements of new guidelines for GRI G4 standard. This report is formed as “question-answer” dialogue. Each of us has his or her own questions to the financial institutions. You can look for these questions in the Platinum Bank’s report. It’s a new and interesting format of transparency and focusing on stakeholders, demonstrated by the bank,” – Maryna Saprykina, Head of the “CSR Development” Centre. The report is drawn in accordance with the international standard of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI, version G4).
