Demand for cash loans is growing
According to Platinum Bank research and the sales results the demand for cash loans among the Ukrainian population is growing rapidly. Unsecured cash loans for various needs are of particular interest. Interest to this type of loans is prevailing in cities with population over one million, while in smaller cities such loans are in less demand. Ukrainians would basically get cash loans to buy major household appliances and house repair - 25, 2% and 23, 3% respectively.
Contrary to stereotypes the client who would like to get the cash loan is not only concerned in interest rate and credit value. After the crisis the leading factors of the choice became such indicators as the stability of the bank reputation and its reliability (70%), relatives and friends’ positive experience of cooperation with the bank (over 37%) and the bank employees qualifications (about 24%).Various actions/gifts and appearance of the bank are important only for 1% of the applicants who would get the cash loan.
"Demand for cash loans revives that contribute to the development of credit market. One of the first swallow was lending cash. This trend we observe in increase of the cash loan portfolio of our bank. One can get personal loan in our bank starting from UAH 5 000 to 75 000 for up to 36 months. These are the funds necessary to meet the needs of the Ukrainians, "- says Greg Krasnov, CEO of Platinum Bank.
According to statistics of the credit agreements conducted in Platinum Bank on February 2011 the increased number of contracts compared to February 2010 made up 615%.
