Five-kilometer run of goodness from Platinum Bank
A team of 36 bank employees became the participants of the annual sports charity action "Run under chestnuts 2010", organized to support the Scientific and Practical Center of cardiology and cardiac surgery for young children of MH of Ukraine.
In total 63 teams were recorded in the mileage, the number of participants exceeded 15,100 people, thus setting a new record - "The most massive sporting charity event" (recorded and confirmed by official representatives of the Ukrainian Book of Records).
The results of the marathon and money to be transferred to the development of the center of cardiology and cardiac surgery of MH of Ukraine were announced at the press conference held on June 8 at the children's Cardiology centre. This year was a record not only on the number of participants, but also on the amount of collected funds - 420 000 UAH.
"Corporate social responsibility is a strategically important component of Platinum Bank. We not only support the charitable activities, but also make contribution to the development of this direction and create our projects, "instilling" a sense of social responsibility to every employee of the bank. We are pleased that on 30 May our employees actively supported the charity marathon. Our team, headed by Todd Esposito, financial director, Member of the Management board of Platinum Bank, ran a "five-kilometer distance of goodness", commented Victoria Mikhno, Head of Public Relations.
For the funds collected this year the children's Cardiology centre will purchase the apparatus of “an artificial heart”, the only one in Ukraine nowadays.
